During the pandemic, I transitioned from writing and bartending to data science. I write more code than articles these days, but my love for spirits and cocktails hasn’t gone anywhere!

In 2013, I quit my office job to learn the art of craft bartending. One side effect of the change was that I started thinking about drinks and food. A LOT. Making drinks lead to researching and writing about them, and my former occupation was born.

See Clair Write was initially created as a catchall. Now, it’s evolved into a chronicle of everything cocktail-related, which includes most aspects of my life. I’ll be refining my craft for the rest of my life, and I couldn’t be more excited.

As a writer, I specialize in drinks, bartending, science, food, and the science behind it. But with some research, I’ve also written about music, agriculture, advertising, geek culture, weddings, and much, much more.

I am the author of Romantic Cocktails (Feb. 2019) and The Classic & Craft Cocktail Recipe Book (Feb. 2017).
